The Haus of Performing Arts offers a full after school program for South Bronx youth built around three things: academic support, world-class arts training, and a community that genuinely invests in who your child is becoming.
Here is everything you need to know about how it works.
What We Offer
Performing Arts
Singing, dancing, acting, and instruments. Students at The Haus train with NYC performers who bring real industry experience into every single session. But this is not just about learning how to sing or how to move. It is about understanding the industry, building stage presence, and developing the kind of confidence that does not switch off when the music stops.
We are always working toward something real. A performance, a showcase, a commercial opportunity. Our performing arts students have gone on to book major campaigns, headline events, and perform on some of the biggest stages New York has to offer. We do not just teach technique. We open doors.
Fine Arts
Fashion design, sketching, and painting. Fine arts students at The Haus learn to think like creatives, not just artists. We teach them to develop their own style, trust their eye, and understand that the skills they are building have value far beyond the classroom.
Students work on real projects, develop their own visual identity, and learn how art connects to fashion, media, and culture. By the time they leave The Haus, they do not just know how to make art. They know what to do with it.
Culinary Arts
Every half day, students step into the kitchen with Co-Founder Alexes and cook from scratch. Baking, meal prep, food preparation, presentation, and healthy habits. This is not a cooking club. It is a full culinary experience that teaches discipline, teamwork, creativity, and the quiet confidence that comes from making something with your own hands.
Students learn to work together, follow a process, and take pride in what they produce. By the end of the program, they are not just better cooks. They are more patient, more focused, and more capable than when they started.
Summer at The Haus
Each summer, The Haus runs a full season of creating, rehearsing, performing, and connecting. Students work toward real completed projects across theater, dance, music, visual arts, and culinary arts that they get to share with their families and the wider Haus community.

How The Afternoon Works
Every Haus afternoon follows the same structure because consistency is how children thrive.

School Pickup
We pick your child up directly from their school.
Any school within 10 minutes of The Haus, including on half days. You do not have to figure out the logistics. We handle it.

Homework Support
From the moment we arrive, we get to work.
Every student receives homework support and has their work completed by 3:50PM. Your child comes home with it done, every single day.

Arts Classes from 4:00PM
From 4:00PM, students move into two full arts classes.
Our sessions run longer than most because we know children need time to settle in before the real learning happens. By the time they go home, they have not just finished their homework. They have created something, grown something, and felt something.

Enrollment
Joining Haus is simple.
Here is how it works:

Submit Your Application
Fill out our online application form. It only takes a few minutes and lets us know a little about your child before we connect.

Intake Call
Once we receive your application, we will reach out to schedule a quick phone call. This is where we get to know your family, answer your questions, and talk through everything including days, scheduling, and fees.

Trial at The Haus
Before enrollment is confirmed, students complete a trial period at The Haus. This gives your child a chance to experience everything firsthand and gives us the chance to make sure we set them up for success.

Welcome to The Haus
Once your trial is complete, we confirm enrollment and your child officially becomes part of the Haus family.
