TO PERFORMING ARTS NON-PROFIT

Every job was exciting but our biggest job came AFTER the pandemic with LACOSTE. They called us asking Director and Co-Founder Casimar Valles to Choreograph for their OPENING of the new St. Mary's Tennis Court with Venus Williams.

We hold our first GALA at The TIMES SQUARE HARD ROCK CAFE to raise funds and awareness to bring free and affordable classes to the students of the South Bronx.

Many parents and supporters have been with us for almost 10 years, since the birth of the dance company, The Haus of Casimar. In this time, the company built a name for themselves performing locally but also landing commericial dance and modeling contracts.

The year 2024, Alexes and Casimar created The Haus of Performing Arts as an expansion to reach more students in The Bronx. The Fashion Week event was the motivator to give more oppurtunities to Bronx Natives and show them that art has the ability to be more than just a hobby.

HAUS Mission

At The Haus of Performing Arts, we empower South Bronx children to find their voices, express their creativity, and build unshakable confidence through the arts. Our afterschool program provides a safe, joyful, and inclusive space where students explore performing, visual, and culinary arts alongside academic support and social-emotional learning.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to be seen, heard, and celebrated. By combining artistic training with mentorship, we help young people grow as creators, thinkers, and leaders who are equipped with the skills, identity, and self-belief to shine in school and in life.

Every half-day, children get to experience a cooking class with Co-Founder, Alexes, and experience the joy of cooking from scratch.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Do we accept CHILDCARE VOUCHERS?

Yes, we accept Childcare Vouchers. If you don't have a childcare voucher and believe that you qualify, please include in your application that you would like help applying. Right now, ACS has a FREEZE on childcare vouchers but, HRA is still approving those with Cash Assistance.

2. Does every child need participate in every class?

Every day, we have two art classes and every child is expected to be in at least one class.

3. Do we have school pick-up? Including half-days?
Yes, we pick up children from their schools and YES, that includes half-days. We do school pickups from any school within 10 minutes of walking from us.

4. What is the daily schedule?

We do homework until 3:50PM then after that we have 2 classes from 4:00PM - 5:30PM. Our classes are longer to ensure the students have enough time to settle back into learning mode and the lessons can really hold.

5. Do we have any special events?

Yes. An exciting event we will being doing again is our Mystery Dinner at the end of October. This Winter, we will be having our first HAUS GALA: International Elegance. A night meant to celebrate the many cultures that have inspired The Haus of Performing Arts.

6. How much are the AFTERSCHOOL services?

During your intake phone call, we go over all pricing for 1 DAY/2 DAYS/or Full Service. We also offer HAUS SCHOLARSHIPS for students who trial and do well in our school.
